ETL has collaborated with the Arab Federation Of Oil And Gas And Energy Technology which organization has played the role of facilitating the project development and the appointment of Internationally renowned EPC contractors.
ETL has been, through a tender process awarded a contract by Debswana for the Supply of Waste Rubber Feedstock Products (Used Tyres, Conveyor Belts etcetera) for use in its Waste to energy component of the Project.
ETL will further undertake a road show to sensitize the nation about the project and the need to avail waste tyres for use in same. To this end Council authorities and other relevant stakeholders across the country will be engaged so assist in this regard.
ETL bringing fuel security and lower fuel prices to both Botswana and other SADC countries will have far reaching implications for the economic development of the country. Not only will this project benefit the country through export revenue, it will also significantly diversify Botswana’s trade portfolio and improve its significance in the international trade space. Another major market which has already been secured through off-take agreements is the European continent. This will ensure another secure revenue stream that will see a major boost on the GDP of Botswana. ETL has negotiated off-take agreements through its preferred international partners who are well represented and positioned in Europe to distribute a targeted 60% of ETL’s product range including:
40% of ETL’s Products are earmarked for local Distribution and Consumption in Botswana. To this end, Conditional Fuel Off-take Agreements with Botswana Oil are in place.
